Upper Thames Sailing Club

Thames Challenge team racing – Saturday 24 June

Thames Challenge is an inter club team racing event; this year it will be hosted by UTSC. It is sailed in RS Fevas and last year about ten teams took part. It is pitched at those junior sailors who are competent to sail, but have not team raced or competed away from home previously, so is not at too high a standard. Each team has three boats (six sailors) and the racing is fast and furious. The races last less than 10 minutes and during the course of the day about 60 races are scheduled as each team races each other team before semi finals and finals. We will need cadets to join together in teams and parents to help on the day.  For more details click here.

In advance of this there will be team racing coaching on Saturday 10 June – please sign up for this on SCM.
